Stragovi 111 is an organised militaristic group that calls for the dissolution of the Lunar Union’s Plenum and the abolishment of its presiding political party. Stragovi 111 has carried out insurgency against the Union and interplanetary nations of Caspardryll, Yenghsa and a number of other worlds throughout union space and the cluster. The insurgency has been characterized by bombings, raids, kidnapping and assassinations as Stragovi 111 struggles against the Union Military.
Stragovi 111 gains there name from a notable political figure Malenkev Stragovi who was tried and executed for conspiracy and treason with 110 other co-conspirators. Stragovi agitated for revaluation of the Unions political structure and vocally urged for the military to force the party to comply with a list of demands produced by Stragovi’s movement. He was arrested as he attempted to flee the Union for political asylum in Temple space.
Stragovi 111 announced there existence to the Union Shortly after disclosure about the trial and execution of the movement members. Polermo station was seized and deorbited above the industrial world of Castigor by a team of armed militants. Local security failed to reassert control over the command and navigation centers in time to prevent collision. The actions of station security did ensure that the entire station was evacuated. Unfortunately, the densely packed streets of Ossio on Ulm were far less effectively evacuated. In all 9467 Ossion residents lost their lives with a further 20 000 injured and 230 000 displaced from the radiological and chemical exclusion zone. The Ossion Calamity’s true scale has only been recognised recently. The subsequent ecological collapse and planetary depopulation are considered to be directly attributed to the destruction of Ossio and its large Pillarite storage facilities.
The attackers took advantage of station security’s preoccupation with a gravity affected peoples protest. Gaining access to sensitive areas of Polermo through a combination of false credentials and the deft placement of a sympathetic co-conspirator. After 18 short minutes of ruthlessly precise assaults Polermo station had fully fallen to Stragovi 111. What remained of station security deputized civilians and coordinated with contracted Lunar Irregulars and Farimba to evacuate the station. Its estimated 300 000 lives were saved with the evacuation efforts though criticism has been levelled against station security. Deriders claim that by failing to fully commit to either eliminating Stragovi 111 or evacuating civilians, station security hindered efforts to halt the attack. The presence of civilians on the station ruled out its destruction prior to deorbiting, whilst the evacuation prohibited many from aiding in retaking the station to stabilize its orbit. By the time the evacuation was complete missile strikes served to scatter debris over the wider Ossio area without preventing the attack on the city.
Following the attack on Castigor Stragovi 111 is believed to have grown steadily within the frontier. It is unclear who leads the organisation but computer generated facsimiles of Stragovi and his 110 have been utilised by the group to in videos or live feeds issue demands or espouse their political agenda or ideology. Castigor itself, specifically the Ossio alienation zone has become something of pilgrimage site for Stragovi 111. Pro Stragovi message boards and political feeds describe Castigor as the first victory against the Union and entreat the military and the wider citizenry to come and see “the grave of tyranny”.
Stragovi 111 has announced its aims to be “the reestablishment of the old nations and the returning of the Lunar Union to its territorial and democratic traditions”. They also call for “the establishment of cultural enclaves within the frontier to restore and preserve the national identities of the Obriossian, Averi and Enazcan peoples”. Stragovi 111 also demand the union reveal the location of the Lha’Maggean home world and that an independent investigation of war crimes be begun there. Violence in the pursuit of these aims has only increased with time. With the majority of conflict occurring on the frontier, where they conduct their insurgency against Union assets and allies.
Stragovi 111 favors the use of heavily armed and armoured kill teams, composed of power armoured infantry, super heavy mechs and infiltrators. Terror strikes precede Stragovi assaults, weakening critical targets or sewing discord, in either case little consideration is given for civilian casualties. Unless civilians are planned to be hostages or incited into violent collaboration. Even then, Stragovi kill teams will sacrifice any amount of lives including their own in pursuit of their objectives and won’t hesitate to exploit any tactic that might gain them an advantage. Stragovi 111 cooperation with other organizations is rare due to their status on terror watchlists throughout the union. Though they have been known to pay well for enterprising Armournauts that share their disdain for the union.
